I have delivered more than ten professional presentations at national and international venues on topics related to my academic pursuits. Past talks include “The Fiction of Javier Payeras: Framing Discourses of Queerness and Neoliberalism in Postwar Guatemala," at the Asociación de Estudios de Género y Sexualidades (AEGS), University of Illinois at Chicago (2018), and “Literary Truth Telling: Reading the Guatemalan Police Archives in Rodrigo Rey Rosa’s El material humano," at the Modern Language Association (MLA) in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (2017).
In addition, I delivered an invited talk for the students of the Latina/o Studies Program at the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Washington (2017).
My most recent invited talk draws from my research on postwar Guatemalan cultural production and was part of the I Encuentro centroamericano de actualización profesional en Ciencias de la Información: "Políticas de acceso y difusión del patrimonio documental," at the Universidad de Costa Rica (San Ramón Campus) (2019).
